Puli Puli Stones Design - Heart Card

These beautiful lacquerware heart cards are part of a cross‑cultural project, designed in Australia and handmade in Kashmir.

Each piece is crafted using traditional Kashmiri lacquerware techniques. The artwork is first sketched onto the surface, then hand‑painted in layers, building colour and detail with fine brushes. Once the design is complete, the piece is sealed with multiple coats of natural lacquer, giving it a smooth, glossy finish that protects the artwork and makes the colours glow. Every card is a small, functional artwork — perfect for gifting or display.

Puli Puli Stones Design — The design is owned by Keturah Nangala Zimran.

The ancient Australian landscape with its eroded forms and organic shapes provides motivation for Keturah's art. In this work Keturah depicts the natural rock formations (puli) found in and around Haasts Bluff.
