Waterhole Design - This design is owned by Olivia Wilson.
Olivia is a junior artist of Kaurna and Narungga background, She has watched and learned from Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara artists for most of her life, learning their stories and techniques, Olivia has painted a water hold, important in ancient Australia for survival of animals and people. -
Puli Puli Stones Design - This design is owned by Keturah Nangala Zimran.
The ancient Australian landscape with it's eroded forms and organic shapes provided motivation for Keturah's art. in the work Keturah depicts the natural rock formations (puli) found in and around Haasts Bluff, Keturah's homeland country. -
Seven Sisters Design - The design is owned by Athena Nangala Granites.
In contemporary Warlpiri paintings, the traditional iconography is used to represent the Jukurrpa (dreaming), associated sites and other elements. Depicted in this Jukurrpa is the female star Yantarlarangi (Venus - the Evening Star) who chases the seven Napaljarri sisters for having stolen the night from her. -
Waru (Bush Fire Dreaming) Design - This design is owned by Patricia Napurrula Multa.
This painting is about three massive bushfires that burned parallel to each other, across the landscape scarring the land. It started at Warlungurru, near Kintore. -
Jilamara Design - The design is owned by Paulina Puruntatameri
During ceremony on the Tiwi Islands a series of ‘yoi’ (dances), are performed; some are totemic and some shows a narrative of newly composed songs. Participants in these ceremonies are painted with turtiyanginari (the different natural ochre colours), transforming the dancers and, in some cases, provide protection against mapurtiti (spirits). These significant artistic designs collectively are called ‘Jilamara’. -

In the Dreamtime our Ramindjeri RUWI didn’t have much freshwater soakages creeks and rivers so long time ago our ancestors seen that there were no fresh waterways around our country so one ancestor went out into the scrub and grab the tree and thrust it through the ground water immediately begun coming out the ground as he dragged the tree all the way to the ocean he created what is now the Hindmarsh River and inmin river the rivers still flows still today then our ancestors all gathered in the Hindmarsh valley they come from all over Ngarrindjeri RUWI as they got there everyone started performing for the big ceremony and begun to dance they’re dancing feet on the dry soil they’re dancing feet created water ponds through the valley created from their dancing feet as the water ponds were created to catch the water as it rained in the valley still today the ponds through the valley created for us to get fresh water to drink from are now used by farmers.
