Leather Clutch Bag W/Wrist Strap - Ngarindjerri Country Design

This leather clutch bag with wrist strap is a cross cultural project, designed in Australia and handmade in Kashmir.

The design is applied to the leather by Kashida, one of the oldest Kashmiri handicrafts. It is applied to the leather by hand with the help of a small "aari" hand tool similar to a crochet hook. The clutch bag contains bright satin lining, with a small zipper pocket inside for smaller items, and a wrist strap to leave you hands free.

This painting shows the Ngarindjerri counrty. The red line is the river that was made by the big Murray Cod Pondi, and Nurunderi back in the dreaming time. The pair made all of the land formations along the river, across the Coorong all the way to Kangaroo Island.
