Ceramic Earrings - Flannel Flower
These ceramic earrings are part of a cross cultural project, designed in Australia and hand painted from Peru, reflecting centuries old Inca ceramic traditions.
Flannel Flower (Actinotus helianthi) is native to the eastern areas of temperate and sub tropical Australia. The shrubbing plant grows to around 50cm high and the white downy flowers are from 5 to 8 cm wide. Despite the look of the flannel flower, it is not related to the daisy family, but is more closely related to the carrot.
