Leather Clutch Bag W/Wrist Strap - Spirit Man Design

This leather clutch bag with wrist strap is a cross cultural project, designed in Australia and handmade in Kashmir.

The design is applied to the leather by Kashida, one of the oldest Kashmiri handicrafts. It is applied to the leather by hand with the help of a small "aari" hand tool similar to a crochet hook. The clutch bag contains bright satin lining, with a small zipper pocket inside for smaller items, and a wrist strap to leave you hands free. 

The design is owned by Stephen Pitjara Martin.

Stephen paints the Spirit Man in his country, Alyawarre in Central Desert. He uses different symbols to show familiar things. Rocks, waterholes, boomerangs, spears, and digging sticks.
